Tether is a resource for discovering local Creators—the photographers, writers, graphic and web designers, social media managers and more—who help small businesses, agencies, and corporations create content for websites, social media, and advertising campaigns.

Tether’s vision is a world where creative work is highly valued, and the people who make it are paid accordingly. Our mission is to connect creative freelancers to the business community and vice versa so that everyone can thrive—and stay—in the Cincinnati Region. Tether was founded by 2017 Haile Fellowship recipient Tamia Stinson via a People's Liberty grant.

Tamia has a background in Marketing, Project Management, and Photo Styling. While working as a Stylist for Cincinnati Magazine, she noticed that fellow image-makers were leaving to go to other cities or dropping out of the industry altogether because they were having a difficult time finding work. With so many talented local creatives and a thriving business community, that didn’t make sense—so she decided to do something about it. That’s when Tether was born.

Tether Events

Tether events are a way to connect. They’re an opportunity for you and your favorite photographers, graphic designers, creative directors, and influencers to meet face-to-face for collaboration, education, and yeah, a little venting. They’re a chance for our community to partner with other communities in the creative and entrepreneurial space.

We host everything from happy hours to workshops to full-fledged par-tays, all in the name of coming together. Join in!

The Tether Sourcebook

A cross between a portfolio, a directory, and a magazine, the Tether Sourcebook is a beautifully designed print book full of imagery, editorial content, and a listing of Cincinnati image-makers that was distributed to agencies and brands locally and nationwide. The Tether Sourcebook promotes our city, our talent, and shows the world what we can do.
